Thing #3 - Submit your blog information

We hope you are enjoying the adventure so far and are having fun. Remember to share with your colleagues whenever you have any knowledge or experience that may help them out if they get stuck or vice versa!

If you’ve made it this far, you already have two items or “things” completed of the 23 that are required to earn your staff development credit.

Now that your blog is created, you MUST submit it to the MISD Learning 2.0 team by completing the online form.

****IMPORTANT****
Until you submit your blog information, you aren't officially doing the class with us and won't receive credit. The Learning 2.0 team must receive your information for you to be added to our group. You will receive an official "welcome" e-mail when your registration has been received. (The e-mail has to be sent manually, so don't panic if it doesn't come immediately after you register. Just go ahead with your work on the Things. If you still haven't received it after 48 hours, please e-mail and let us know.)

Other things to remember:
  • This course will be entirely online.
  • There will be NO face to face meetings.
  • You have the entire fall session to complete this course. All postings must be made by midnight on December 5, 2008 in order to receive credit.
  • You must make at least one substantive post on each "Thing" in order to receive credit. "Substantive" means that we expect you to write as if you were describing the "thing" to someone who doesn't know anything about it and include the information asked for in the Discovery Exercise for each "thing" in your post.
  • Clearly identify the "thing #" in the title of each post.
  • There should be a separate blog posting for each "thing." Please do not combine "things."

Discovery Exercise:

1. If you haven't done it already, submit your blog information right away. You will then be officially registered and eligible to receive your staff development credit upon completion of all 23 Things!

2. For your Thing #3 post, write about ways that you might use a blog in your library program or school. For some ideas, click on over to Edublog Insights by Anne Davis.

It’s really that easy and just think, now there are only 20 more things to go. :)
